Following was the testimonial given by Jordan's Grandparents:
My wife and I have legal custody of our three young grandchildren. The youngest, Jordan, was born at 24 weeks and had a number of developmental issues. He was in a Wee Care sponsored home daycare for 2 years and enjoyed it very much. However his primary doctor at Sick Kids was concerned that Jordan was backward in some of his development and suggested that we put him in a formal daycare setting with children his own age. It was felt that unless we did so, he would be at a disadvantage when he entered junior kindergarten in the fall of 2015. Accordingly we started Jordan at Tot Town in November 2014.
At first Jordan was reticent as he had spent most of his young life at the same home daycare. He soon began to enjoy and having peers his own age. Jordan was not toilet trained despite our best efforts but he has made great progress in that area at Tot Town. He particularly loves his teacher Miss Suzette and Miss Jennifer who worked well with him In the short time he has been there, he has made amazing progress in his development. Everyone who knows him remarks on the positive changes in his behavior. Unfortunately today will be his last day there as he is beginning a three month trial stay at his dads and will be too far away to continue at Tot Town. We are extremely happy with the care and love he received at Tot Town and are very grateful for it. We would heartily recommend Tot Town to anyone seeking quality childcare.

In the case of Jordon ...
1. Staff followed the 6 steps of conflict resolution to ensure we understand the child's needs, once the child starts getting confident and trusts his educators working with him got easier.
2. Speech therapy support through PIRS (Peel Inclusion Resource Services).
3. Support from the Region of Peel to mentor staff with preparation of IPP( individual Program Planning)
4. Patience & determination to work with the children.
5. On going training through CDRCP (Child Development Resource Connection Peel) .. to take workshops pertaining the issues.
6. Ensuring all round development of the child , meetings and open communication with the child's custodians and guardians to have clarity about the child's concerns, which can further help to support the child in an appropriate manner.
7. Support from the Ministry of education & Program Advisors.
